Day 1: Arrival at Paro from your International Airport Kathmandu/Delhi/Bangkok/Dhaka/Singapore to Paro International Airport:
Upon arrival at Paro Airport, you will directly proceed to Immigration for the Bhutan Visa process. Upon completion of Visa our team from Tour Bhutan. Travel will receive you at the Airport with Khadar. A brief program will be explained to you before we begin your tour of Bhutan. We shall drive you to Thimphu. Thimphu is 1 a half-hour drive from Paro Airport. On the way visit the beautiful Tamchog Lhakhang across the Paro River. The driver further to Chuzom where 2 rivers meet. You can see the 3 different monasteries believed to have built-in three different architects in Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutanese way.
After Lunch visit the largest standing Bhudha Statue overlooking Thimphu Valley. You can spend some time here. Evening and dinner.
Day 2: Thimphu Tour:
Your day begins with a visit to Memorial Chorten built in honor of the 3rd King of Bhutan. The Chorten is a 5-minute drive from main Thimphu city. You will see lots of local people and old people circumambulating the temple. Visit simply Bhutan Museum where you get the opportunity to experience darts and archery games. The museum showcases live examples of the traditional Bhutanese life style. In the evening visit the Royal throne Trashichodzong.
Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha Sightseeing:
It’s 2 hours of leisure drive from Thimphu to Punakha. Punakha is the old capital of Bhutan. On the way, you can visit the most popular Dochula Pass providing you with a 360-degree view of the Himalayas. Further, you can visit the lobesa vegetable market selling organic fruits and vegetables locals. A 10-minute drive further leads you to Chimi Lhakhang the fertility temple built by saint Drukpa Kuenley. The monastery lies on the hilltop of Lobesa village. If time permits visit Punakha Dzong one of the largest Dzong in Bhutan.
Day 4 Punakha to Phobjikha:
The journey from Punakha to Phobjikha is about 2 hours drive. Before we start the journey to Phobjikha we shall take a short hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Monastery starting from the base of Mo Chu River. The hike follows through paddy fields, local farmlands, and pinewood forests. The monastery was built in 2004 by the queens of Bhutan.
After lunch proceeds to Phobjikha. Visit the Gangtey monastery built in the 17th century by Nyingmapa Lama. This is an important monastery for Nyingmapa followers and also the seat of the famous treasure hunter Pema Lingpa. Overnight at Hotel
Day 5: Phobjikha Hike-Paro:
Your tour starts with a short nature trail hike through the pine forest. Visit the Crane center and proceed towards Paro. Visit the Paro Drugyel Dzong and on a clear day, you can see the clear view of snow-capped Jumolhari Mountain. Your tour ends here.
Day 6: Paro to Chelela Excursion and Kili Goenpa Hike:
The drive is about 2 hours towards Chelela. Chelela Pass is the highest road pass in Bhutan (3796m). The pass offers a beautiful view of Haa valley. From Chele la pass, you can go towards sky burial where locals perform. Tea and coffee will be served there. After that proceed back to Paro. 10 minutes drive from Chelela the beautiful Kili Goenpa Hike begins. The hike is about 1 hour downhill walk starting from Chelela Pass to Kiligoenpa. Tour Bhutan. Day 07: Tiger Nest Hike:
The most popular sight of Bhutan is the Tiger Nest temple. Temple is located 900m above Paro Valley. The primary temple is believed to have been built in the 7th century. The Guru who brought Buddhism into Bhutan has meditated in this cave. He flew from Tibet on a Tigress and is believed to have come to Bhutan in the early 7th century. If you don’t visit Tiger Nest temple then your tour of Bhutan is not complete.
In the afternoon visit, Paro Rinpung Dzong followed by the ancient Watchtower. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
