Bhutan Photography Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival Paro International Airport

Welcome to the Himalayan Kingdom. You will be received by the representatives of Tour Bhutan Upon arrival, check in the hotel, relax and get ready for your next day himalayan mountain journey. Walk around the Paro town and grab the opportunity for photoshoot. Overnight in hotel.

Day 02 Paro to Chelela- Paro

Mountain tour in Paro will not be the complete tour without visiting Chelela Pass to view greater Himalayas. After breakfast drive to Chelela Pass through the mountainous roads with the view of beautiful valleys. It is the most freezing places during the month of December and January. Stop in Chelela and capture the breathtaking moments through the photo shots of greater himalayas. One of the memorable mountains in the pass is Mt. Jumolhari which is in the altitude of 7315m. It is one of the unclimbed mountains in the Kingdom. In the evening drive back to Paro and take some of the photo shots of Paro wide valleys. Check into local Farm house and spend time with the host at Tshering farm House. Overnight in Farm House.

Day 03 Paro to Thimphu

After breakfast drive to Thimphu. Some of the beautiful valleys and mountain can be seen on the way while driving to Thimphu. Being the capital city, Thimphu offers short climbing through valleys. Drive to Buddha point from where you can take the photos of whole Thimphu City along with Thimphu’s beautiful mountains and valleys. Overnight in hotel.

Day 04 Thimphu to Punakha for Photography

After breakfast drive to Punakha via Dochula pass. Your mountain journey will not be the complete one without stopping in Dochula pass. It is located on the top of mountain in the altitude of 3100m. Make sure you wear warm clothes as Dochula pass is one of the freezing point. From the uphill Dochula point, you can have the access of enjoying and taking photos of many other Himalayan mountains and valleys. With 108 small Chortens, the point offers you the beautiful 360 paranomic views of the mountain scenery. The mount important and the highest peak in Bhutan which you don’t want to miss is Mt. Gangkar Puensum. It can be seen from Dochula Pass to the opposite side. Gangkar Puensum is located in the attitude of 3150 m. It is the snow covered peaks and the most freezing point. At evening, drive to Punakha. Overnight in hotel.

Day 05 Punakha Photography Tour

After breakfast visits the Punakha wide valleys to see the mountains.

You will have 360 panoramic views of the Himalayan Mountain Ranges especially from Dochula Pass and a view of Punakha villages and farmhouses. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 06 Punakha to Thimphu

After breakfast drive to Thimphu via Dochula Pass. Stop for a while in Dochula Pass and complete your moments with the sightseeing of greater Himalayas including Gangkar Punsum. Then drive to Thimphu through the roads of mountain ranges. Overnight in hotel.

Day 07 Thimphu to Paro Airport

Bhutan Photography Tour ends here with our guide and driver seeing you off at the airport.
