- By Air: The Gelephu Airport exists but is not operational for commercial flights. The nearest major airport is Paro International Airport.
- By Road: Gelephu is well-connected to Thimphu, Phuentsholing, and other major towns. The drive from Thimphu takes around 10-12 hours.
- From India: Gelephu shares a border with Assam, India, and is accessible from Guwahati, which is around a 4-5 hour drive.
Best Time to Visit Gelephu
The best time to visit Gelephu and Sarpang is during winter (November to February) for pleasant weather, spring (March to May) for blooming flowers, monsoon (June to September) for lush greenery despite heavy rainfall, and autumn (September to November) for clear skies and mild temperatures.
