Itinerary

Fly on the wings of a Dragon to the international airport in Paro, Bhutan. On a clear day, the panoramic views of the Himalayas are sensational, including Mt. Everest (if you are flying from Delhi and Kathmandu). Particularly exciting is the approach through the Bhutanese foothills and the landing, including a few steep, turn to land at the tiny airstrip of Paro. On arrival in Paro, you will be received by the Tour Bhutan team by offering welcome scarfs and transferred to Thimphu by private vehicle.

Drive to Thimphu. Visit Vegetable vendors from different pockets of the country come to sell their products. In the evening we will explore the city by walking. Overnight in Thimphu, altitude 2400m.

Drive to Punakha via Dochula pass. If the weather is clear, we stop for a while at Dochula Pass to view the Higher Himalayas. On the way, visit Chime Lhakhang, which was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley. The Temple is also known as “the Temple of Fertility”. Lunch at Punakha.

Visit Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and situated between Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River).

The Haa Valley is located in the western part of Bhutan close to the only international airport. The valley is surrounded by rich natural biodiversity. Its age-old living tradition has been preserved since time immemorial. Visit this pristine village and overnight at the Hotel.

It is 3 hour drive from Haa to Paro passing the highest road point of chelela pass(4200M). Today we shall hike down the beautiful Kiligoenpa trail. The hike is about 2 hours from the starting point. Evening visit Paro farmhouse and enjoys the local wine and meals prepared by the host. Overnight at Hotel
