How to get to Tsirang?
- By Air (to Paro): If you’re flying into Bhutan, you can reach Paro Airport first, then take a road trip to Tsirang from there. The airport is about a 6-hour drive away from Tsirang.
- By Road: Tsirang is well-connected by road to other parts of Bhutan. From Thimphu (the capital), Tsirang is about a 6-7 hour drive (approximately 170 km). You can take the Phuentsholing highway or the Wangduephodrang route via Punakha. From Paro, it’s around a 6-hour drive (approximately 160 km) via the Wangduephodrang district.

The best times to visit Tsirang for general outdoor tourist activities are for the entire month of May and from early October to mid November, with a peak score in the last week of October.
