Bhutan Holiday Packages Detail Itinerary

Arrival at Paro Airport. Flight to Bhutan is one of the most beautiful Himalayan experiences. If you take the left seat while coming from Delhi or Kathmandu you witness the amazing Mt. Everest, Mt. Annapurna, Mt Makalu, and the grand Himalayan Range. Upon landing you will be received by our Tour Bhutan team and drive you to Thimphu. If time permits we shall take you for a short hike towards Kuenselphodrang where the largest and tallest Buddha statue is located. The walk is leisure through the pine forest towards the statue. After breakfast start your tour with a visit to Tashichho Dzong, a Buddhist monastery and seat of the Druk Desi, the head of Bhutan's civil government. Tashichho dzong houses the main secretariat building, throne room of His Majesty the King of Bhutan. During the warmer summer months the monk body headed by His Holiness, the Je Khenpo, makes its home in the dzong. Visit Folk Heritage Museum, the oldest historical place in Bhutan. Visit Buddha Point, National Library and National Memorial Chorten. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Punakha is perfect Walking Holidays in Bhutan. Today we start our journey to Punakha. On the way, we will stop at Dochula Pass for some sightseeing. The pass offers a 360-degree views of 10 Himalayan mountain ranges. To stretch your nerves we shall take you for a quick uphill walk towards the mountain where the meditation center is been built. Drive further down to Punakha and visit Chimi Lhakhang (No Dog temple) built by famous saint Drukpa Kinley. The temple is about 20 minutes walk from road point. Over Night at Hotel.

Drive to Phobjikha, the valley of Black Necked Crane. Its a beautiful valley with approximately 500 people living in the area. Explore the valley. Explore the natural Phobjikha Trail starts from popular Gangtey monastery. It takes about 45 minutes. Dinner in hotel.

Gangtey to Trongsa is 3 hours road drive. Upon reaching Trongsa visit Trongsa Dzong. Ta dzong where secret holy book written in gold is kept inside the museum. If time permit, visit Trongsa Dzong as well. Later in the evening, stroll around the Trongsa Dzong and overnight in hotel.

Today we go to Bumthang, the beautiful wide valley in eastern Bhutan. Upon reaching Bumthang you shall have your own leisure time and go around the small city of Bumthang. Over night at Hotel.

After breakfast, visit Jakar Dzong ("The Castle of White Bird"), built in 1667, followed by Lamey Goemba, an 18th-century palace and monastery. Next, visit Jambay Lhakhang, built in 659 by Tibetan King Srongsen Gampo, which Guru Rinpoche visited and where he hid sacred treasures. In October, the Jambay Lhakhang Drup Festival is celebrated here. After lunch, visit Chakhar Lhakhang (Iron Castle), originally a palace of Sindhu Raja, rebuilt in the 14th century as Dechen Phodrang. Then, explore Kurjey Lhakhang (1652) and Tamshing Lhakhang (1501), Bhutan’s most important Nyingmapa temple. End the day with a visit to Mebar Tsho (The Burning Lake). Overnight at the hotel.

Ura valley is one of the remotest and oldest valley that lies at an altitude of 3100M from sea level. The valley offers you with spectacular view of old archtecture of Bhutanese houses. Walk around the village and interact with people of Ura. Later visit Ura Lhakhang which is in the middle of the village. In the evening return to your hotel and relax. Over night at Bumthang.

Today you take the domestic flights to Paro from Batpalathang airport in Bumthang. The flight takes about 25 to 30 minutes. Upon reaching Paro our team from Tour Bhutan will receive you and drive you to Haa. You can check in to your hotel and relax.

After breakfast holidays in Bhutan also includes a visit towards Lhakhang Karpo and Nakpo followed by Chundu Lhakhang. After sometime walk around Haa town and drive back to Paro. Upon reaching chelela pass walk down to Kiligoenpa temple. The temple lies in the middle of the pinewood forest. The temple have around 50 nuns living in the area. On arrival, check in to your hotel and overnight in hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Satsam Chorten for a 2-hour horse ride up to the Tiger's Nest viewpoint. The path leads through beautiful pine forests adorned with Spanish moss and prayer flags. After resting at Taktsang Lhakhang (cafeteria), proceed to the famous Taktsang Monastery, perched on a cliff 900 meters above the valley floor. After lunch, visit Ta Dzong, now the National Museum, followed by a short walk to a traditional cantilevered bridge. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
