River Rafting Tour Itinerary
Arrival at Paro airport. Your flight to Bhutan from your incoming destination will be greeted by Himalayan Mountain ranges and a small strip of Paro International Airport. The airport is one of the most exciting airports in the world and only a few pilots are trained to land in this Himalayan Kingdom. Upon landing at the airport fresh air of Paro valley will greet you. The visa process takes about half an hour to stamp on your passport. Our guide and driver will be waiting for you at the gate and drive you to Thimphu.
Drive to Punakha with our team. In the afternoon we raft the beautiful Mochu river. The rafting approximately takes about 1.5 hours and it is moderate rafting.
Today our most awaited River rafting and kayaking awaits here. The spot where rafting starts is 30 minutes drive from Punakha.
Drive to Paro. Paro is a wide valley in western Bhutan with about 20000 people living in the district. Paro is also the only international airport in Bhutan. In Paro visit Drugyel Dzong also called victory Dzong recently restored to its former glory after it has been distroyed by fire. Visit 6th century Kyichu monastery.
Hike the Tiger nest temple. The temple hangs on a rocky cliff 900m above Paro valley. The temple is very secret for people living in the country. The hike takes about 3 hours uphill walk through pinewood forest and upon reaching the temple you will be greeted by monks and laymen visiting the temple for prayer. In the evening relax and over night at Hotel
Today visit the farm house, interact with local. In the afternoon visit Paro Rinpung Dzong also called heap of jewels followed by cantilever bridge crossing the paro river. Also visit only museam of paro. Over night at Hotel.
