Itinerary

Upon arrival at Paro, our guide and driver will warmly welcome you with a traditional white scarf. After introductions, begin your journey to Thimphu. On the way, visit Tachog Lhakhang, built by Drupthob Thangtong Gyalpo in 1420. Upon arrival in Thimphu, visit Buddha Point and the Memorial Chorten. If time permits, explore Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government since 1968. Overnight at the hotel.

After a hearty breakfast, drive towards Jigme Dorji National Park and begin your trek to Tango Monastery, passing through forests filled with chir pine trees. After lunch, visit Cheri Monastery, located opposite Tango Monastery. After exploring both monasteries, return to the base and drive back to your hotel for the night.

After breakfast, head towards Paro. Upon arrival, visit Kyichu Lhakhang and Dungtse Lhakhang. After lunch, visit Paro Ta Dzong and Paro Rinpung Dzong. In the evening, explore Paro town and shop for souvenirs. Overnight at the hotel.

Begin this exceptional day with a visit to the awe-inspiring Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) Monastery. After breakfast, take a short drive to Satsam Chorten, followed by a two-hour horse ride to the monastery's viewpoint. Hike through beautiful pine forests adorned with Spanish moss and prayer flags, pausing at Taktsang Jakhang (cafeteria) for rest and refreshments. Continue on foot to the remarkable Taktsang Monastery, built in 1684 by Paro Penlop Gyaltse Tenzin Rabgay around Guru Rimpoche’s meditation cave. The monastery clings to a sheer cliff, dropping 900 meters into the valley below. According to legend, Guru Padmasambhava arrived here on the back of a flying tiger, Dorji Drolo, his cherished consort. In the evening, drive to Thimphu for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Drive to Paro for departure and bid farewell.
