How to Book Flights for 6-Day Bhutan Visit?

Bhutan Visa/Permit

All tourists travelling to Bhutan and taking a 6-day trip need a Visa. The required documents are a valid passport copy, a passport-sized photograph, and the exact date of travel. With this information, we shall apply for your Visa to Bhutan. A visa-approved letter from Immigration will be sent to you. You must download this letter and print it to show the officials upon arrival. Your actual Visa will be stamped upon arrival at Paro International Airport.

Day 1 :

Arrival at Paro Airport and Drive to Thimphu. Distance 60KM | Driving time 1 hour | Altitude 2400M.

Arrival at Paro International Airport. Paro is more beautiful, and it is a visually stunning and historically fascinating valley in Bhutan. This historical Paro valley is home to many of Bhutan’s oldest monasteries, like Tiger Nest temple and 6th 6th-century Kichu monastery.

Our team from the tour of Bhutan will be there for the reception and drive you to Thimphu City. Dinner and Night at the Hotel.

Day 2 :

Thimphu Tour 2400M above Sea Level

Tour the capital of Thimphu. Visit the monuments. Visit the Folk Heritage Museum, also known as Phelchy Toenkhyim, dedicated to connecting people to the Bhutanese rural past through exhibits, demonstrations, educational programs, and documentation of rural life.

Lunch at Babesa Village Restaurant or similar, visit the weekend market, which provides an opportunity to mingle with local people and taste the organic fruits from all over Bhutan. Evening visit Trashiichhodzong. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3 :

Thimphu to Punakha | Distance 72.8 KM | Driving Time 2 Hours 8 Minutes | Altitude 1200M.

Explore Dochula Pass, Chhimi Lhakhang on the way toward Punakha. Punakha is warmer and its valley is covered with paddy fields. Punakha is also the winter capital of the monastic body and use to be the old capital of Bhutan till 1961. Enjoy lunch at Leezang Cafe or similar and drive to your hotel and relax.

Day 4 :

Punakha to Paro | Distance 115 KM | Driving Time 3Hours 8 Minutes | Altitude 2300M

Visit the popular Drugyel Dzong and 6th-century Kichu Monastery. Visit the airport view of Paro Airport. If you are a lover of Coffee, you can visit the Cafe. We would recommend Mountain Cafe, one of the best Coffee houses in Paro. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Day 5 :

Paro Tiger Nest Hike | Distance 15 Km | Hiking Time 4Hours | Altitude 3120M.

Following breakfast, a short drive brings us to Satsam Chorten. The trail winds through a picturesque pine forest, adorned with Spanish moss-draped trees and occasional clusters of fluttering prayer flags. We pause for a break and light refreshments at the Taktsang Jakhang cafeteria, then continue until the awe-inspiring Taktsang Monastery comes into view. According to legend, Guru Padmasambhava, who introduced Buddhism to Bhutan in 747 AD, flew here on the back of a flying tiger named Dorji Drolo, his cherished consort.

After lunch, visit Ta Dzong (built in 1656 and renovated in 1968), an ancient watchtower, which now houses the National Museum. Below the museum is the Rimpung Dzong (literally meaning “Heap of Jewels”), the centre of civil and religious authority in this valley, built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Overnight in the Hotel.

Day 6 :

Paro to onward Journey. Altitude 2300M
