The Soi Yaksa or Jumolhari Loop Trek is a stunning adventure through Bhutan’s Himalayas, offering a perfect mix of natural beauty, cultural experiences, and challenging trekking. Starting from Paro, the trek follows a scenic route through dense forests, traditional villages, and alpine meadows, with breathtaking views of Mount Jomolhari.

The trek leads you to Jangothang Base Camp, where you’ll camp at the foot of Jomolhari before crossing high passes like Bonte La and Takhung La for panoramic mountain views. You’ll also experience Bhutanese rural life, visit yak herder villages, and enjoy the tranquillity of Soi Yaksa Valley.

  • Day 4. Thangthangkha to Jangothang Base Camp. Distance 17KM | Trek Distance 5-6 Hours | Altitude at Campsite 4080M
  • Day 5. Acclimatization Day at Jangothang
  • Day 6. Jangothang to Soi Yaksa via Bonte La Pass. Distance 16KM | Trek Distance 6-7 Hours | Altitude 3800M
  • Day 7. Soi Yaksa to Thombu Shong. Distance 11KM | Trek Distance 5-6 Hours | Altitude at Campsite 4180M
  • Day 8. Thombu Shong to Gunitsawa Village – Drive to Paro. Distance 13KM | Trek Distance 5-6 Hours | Altitude 2400M
  • Day 9. Hike to Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang Monastery). Distance 10 km | Hiking Time 5-6 Hours up and down | Altitude 3120M.
