Upon arrival at Paro Airport, you will be greeted by the mesmerizing views of the surrounding mountains, providing a picturesque introduction to Bhutan. The airport, situated in a deep valley, is one of the country’s only international gateways. After disembarking, you’ll proceed through the immigration and customs process. The airport staff is known for their warm hospitality, offering a friendly welcome to visitors. Explore Chimi Lhakhang, commonly known as the Fertility Temple, on the way. Paro Tshechu Festival Tour: Start the Journey from the old capital of Bhutan. The drive takes you through the amazing Wangdiphodrang Dzong towards Gangtey Valley. The valley is one of the most fertile areas for potato cultivation and the breeding centre for Black-Necked Crane.

The Gangtey Trail is a mesmerising trek that winds through the stunning landscapes of Gangtey Valley in Bhutan. This scenic trail takes you through quaint villages, lush forests, and open meadows, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

One of the highlights of the trail is the Gangtey Monastery, a prominent religious site perched on a hilltop, providing a tranquil and spiritual atmosphere.

The journey from Gangtey to Paro is about 5 hours. The itinerary also let you visit Pelela pass before we proceed on our drive towards Paro for the festival. As you travel towards Paro, explore the region's historical and spiritual significance. In Paro, visit the airport view to witness the takeoff and landing of a plane on the small runway at Paro airport. In the evening, stroll around Paro town.

Today is a very important day for you. Dress in local attire with Kabnay and Rachu. We provide you with bright Gho for men and Kira for women.

As we enter the Dzong, we witness spiritual mask dances performed by monks and laymen. The festival serves as both a spiritual event and a social gathering.

Locals and visitors dress in their finest traditional Bhutanese clothes, and there is a sense of community as people come together to celebrate, pray, and enjoy the performances.

Embark on the renowned 4-hour Tiger’s Nest hike, beginning with a short drive to Satsam Chorten. From there, enjoy a 2-hour horse ride to the monastery’s viewpoint. Horse ride is optional, and we recommend walking.

After about 2 hours, pause at Taktsang Jakhang (Cafe) for rest and refreshments. The sight of Taktsang Monastery, perched on a sheer rock cliff 900 meters above the valley, is mesmerising. 

After a fulfilling lunch, explore Ta Dzong (built in 1656 and renovated in 1968), now the National Museum, housed in an ancient watchtower.

Descend to Paro Rimpung Dzong (built in 1646), meaning “Heap of Jewels,” serving as the valley’s centre for civil and religious authority. A brief walk brings you to the dzong’s base and a traditional cantilevered bridge. Evening at the Hotel.
